How do I apply to the program?
1. Review your schedule and confirm that you have the time to invest in growing your businesses over the coming months. It takes significant amounts of time to both plan for, and execute, meaningful growth strategies. The ScaleUp program typically takes about 40-80 hours over a 3-4 month period to complete. This includes session times and the out-of-class projects that engaged business owners typically take on to ensure their growth plans are well researched, well documented, and implemented effectively
2. Select a local sponsor listed on the PARTNERS page to serve as your sponsor and engage with them to sponsor you.
3. Complete the ScaleUp Portlane ME program application.
4. Prepare well for the interview with a firm understanding of both your strengths and weaknesses as an organization.

Is there an application fee?
There is no fee for applying to the ScaleUp Portland ME program. Even better, with a letter of sponsorship from one of our community sponsors (also free), the entire program (including the average 10k in private consulting services each business receives) is also free! The U.S. Small Business Administration picks up the cost for 100% of approved, community sponsored participants as a long-term investment in the entire business ecosystem of our community.

What does it take to enroll?

ScaleUp is looking for small business owners committed and dedicated to growing their business to 1M in annual revenues or more. The typical participant has at least 2-5 years of successful business experience and annual revenues between $150,000 and $500,000. However, each application is reviewed and considered based on its own merit.

To ensure both a broad and deep learning experience for all business executives in each cohort, admission to the ScaleUp Roanoke Valley program is selective. It is based on professional achievement, position for growth, and dedication to the program and growing your business. All discussion material is in English and requires fluency in the English language in order to participate in fast-moving round
table discussions.
